The silence of the bells at Easter

In the countries of Catholic culture we associate silence of bells for Easter and use of rattles as a habit.
But this custom is limited to Latin countries ... with some exceptions.
In France or in Belgique, where the towers are closed, people say that the bells go returning to Rome and night flying and dropping Easter eggs and chocolate bells.
